[Updated 26-08-2022] What is the best pizza in Milano?
You have not been in Italy if you did not try any pizza during your holiday. Napoli is the capital of the kingdom of Pizzaland but Milano is becoming a hub for pizza lovers, too.
As you might guess, pizza is a serious issue for Italian people. Arguments have been raised in Milano about which one is the best pizza in town. This one is my personal top5: try them all!
Something new in town (20/11/2016): the best pizza in Milano
Berberè Milano
Via Sebenico, 21 (Metro stop: Isola)
There’s a new pizza place in town and it is extraordinary. Located in one of the most interesting neighborhoods in town, Isola, it is the place to go if you want to eat a light yet tasty pizza made with slow food ingredients, a variety of organic flours and different kind of leavening processes. Definitely among the three best pizza in Milano.
5. Briscola – Pizza Society
Via Antonio Fogazzaro, 9 (Metro: Porta Romana)
Via Antonio Fogazzaro, 9 (Metro: Porta Romana)
Informal neapolitan style pizza place. Perfect for a night out with friends and for those who are not able to chose only one taste. Here you can compose your personal and unique pizza chasing from a wide range of ingredients or try a combo of two mini-pizzas from the menu. For added fun, don’t forget to order a 1lt pitcher of Italian beer!
4. Coke
Via Pavia, 10 (Metro: Porta Genova)
This is one of the few roman style pizza place in Milano. Roman style pizza is thinner and crunchy. Coke location is perfect to have a good pizza before or after few drinks in the Navigli niglight district. Don’t miss the seasonal pizza such as the one made with fresh artichokes or porcini mushrooms. Maybe it isn’t the best pizza in Milano but for sure one of the few roman style pizza in town!
3. Marghe Pizza
Via Cadore, 26 (Metro: Porta Romana)
A brand new pizzeria that just made it to my top 5 and forced out of the selection the titan of neapolitan style pizza Gino Sorbillo Lievito Madre al Duomo out of my top 5. Just perfect, reasonably priced for Milano and the interior design is super nice! 7 pizza taste, with a couple of vegan and seasonal adds to try that will make you go back at Marghe as soon as you can.
2. Maruzzella
Piazza Oberdan, 3 (Metro: Porta Venezia)
Maruzzella is an institution. It is a pizzeria and restaurant open since 1978 in Milano and its pizza is still one of the best of Milano, even though a herd of stylish newcomers made the market much more crowded. The design is traditional, the pizza is always as good as you expect it to be and the price is perfect. Don’t miss this one!
1. Pizza AM
Corso di Porta Romana, 83 (Metro: Crocetta o Porta Romana)
Pizza AM is for brave foodies, but the line you will have to do is worth since the pizza you will taste here is going raise the bar of you expectations when it comes to pizza. While you wait for your table you will be offered some prosecco and something to eat, isn’t it nice? Be warned, pizza will not be the same after you came here! Only the best simple ingredients (tomato sauce, basil, mozzarella…) ends up in the 8 recipes you can try.
Which one will you try first? Let me know if you liked it and what is the best pizza in Milano according to you!
